Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Kanye West (billed as Ye) will headline the two weekends of the returning Coachella festival in April.
Due to COVID, the 2020 event was initially postponed for six months before eventually being canceled altogether. The 2021 festival was a no-go from the get-go. None of the announced 2020 headliners (Rage Against the Machine, Travis Scott and Frank Ocean) have been retained.
Other highlights of this year’s bill include Spiritualized, Megan Thee Stallion, Danny Elfman, the Regrettes, Doja Cat, Fatboy Slim and Chicano Batman. See the full lineup below.
An announcement from Goldenvoice reads: “Register now for the weekend two presale and receive a unique code to purchase passes starting Friday, January 14 at 10 am PT. This is a presale and does not guarantee pass type, packages, or camping. YouTube returns in 2022 as the official livestream partner for both Coachella weekends on the festival’s official YouTube channel, marking its tenth year streaming the fest to millions of music fans around the world. Official Hotel Travel Packages are available for weekend one and weekend two, sold exclusively through Valley Music Travel. For more festival information and updates, please visit www.coachella.com.”
Meanwhile, Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins and the Steve Miller Band will headline May’s Beachlife Festival in Redondo Beach. The Black Pumas, Stone Temple Pilots, Sheryl Crow and UB40 are further highlights. See the full lineup below.
“Especially during these dynamic and uncertain times, BeachLife Festival has become something that the beach community can look forward to, breathe easy, and smile. Watching the greatest bands in the world with the ocean breeze of the Pacific and the sunset at our back is something that we never get tired of, and we look forward to sharing that experience again to a sold-out but spaced out audience,” said BeachLife co-founder / producer Allen Sanford.
